Pinecrest, A Centex Homes master-planned community on 429 acres, lies at the crossroads of Buckwalter and Bluffton Parkways, on either side of the Bluffton Parkway. There is now a golf cart tunnel that runs under the busy parkway near the Country Clubhouse, for the safety of golfers, joggers and cyclists.
The community is comprised of three distictive neighborhoods: The Crossings, with executive homes offering lagoon and golf course views of the fairways of the Pinecrest Country Club; The Woodlands, a moderately priced selection of midsized one- and two-story homes with forest or fairway views; and The Gables, a section of smaller patio homes for owners that are permanent residents or part-time occupants.
